“ Eat to your sweet tooth's desire here, or get a hearty burger. This is a local institution and hits the spot on a warm summer day. I tried the large KRK Burger with fried onion rings. I made love to that burger, I ate here months ago and was just reminiscing. And if you want to keep eating like a little piggy, there's a custard flavor of the day, but there are so many others to choose from. Don't let the cold interior distract you from the food deliciousness that's occurring. It really doesn't matter- you order great food, and great food comes out. Good: -KRK Burger -Flavor of the day! -Unique interior -Tranquil exterior Bad: -None ”
“ My wife lies this place a family institution in her house. Since we met she would tell me about the best custard anywhere and wasn't that interested because not really a sweeets person until a week ago I heard about there burger being one of the best. We went there Saturday April 5th , I had to try this burger . Well I got a dble cheese burger with bacon and did not disappoint one of the best I've ever had. So delicious, amazing flavor cheese melting all over sooo good! A+++++ establishment be back soon and I live in Indiana ”
“ Woah, never went to this location. Bigger and busier. I liked the outdoor seating, sunny day in March and it was lowkey busy. Can't go wrong truly. Had to try sundae of the month. Did not disappoint. Always love bringing out of towners here too:) This place must pop off in the summer haha. ”
“ So I was told while in Milwaukee I HAD to try Kopps. Now I'm not the greatest judge of custards, (but I do know that I love me some Freddy's from Freddy's Frozen Custard and their steak burgers!) so I stopped here to give it a go. It's always so super hard to order something when you're not even really hungry. But it was my one day of availability and I had to give it a go. What I like about this place is that they give you a three day forecast of their custard flavors. I asked if I could order from the three day forecast, but unfortunately, I could not. And of course it had my favorite flavor, mint chocolate chip. So I did not have an opportunity to try the custard this day. I did, however, order a cheeseburger. When I went up to the employee to order my burger, my first question was "do you have kids sizes?" The answer is no so be prepared for a giant burger. I asked for them to cut my burger in half which they did. Thanks for that! I'm pretty simple so I ordered mine with ketchup and mustard. It came hot and ready with a cute pickle on top. It was a little underdone for my liking. Although I love medium rare for my steaks, I like burgers more done. The flavor was just OK. My socks were not knocked off. And I thought they were going to be. I love how this place operates though. There are two distinct lines. One to order your custard and want to order your food. And don't try to order one from the other. It's a system! They have these lovely gardens outside. There's nowhere to sit on the inside, but there are some highboy cocktail like tables that you can stand at. There is seating with a cute plant/planter that you can wait for your order. This place has got to be banging in the summertime. And I'm sure it's absolutely stunning, gorgeous and welcoming. But I'm here at the very end of March and it's super cold and kind of sad outside. But I will definitely return and try their custard. Friday is my day to get the mint chocolate chip. Fingers crossed! ”
“ This place was crazy busy. Food delicious. And ice cream so creamy. I was so excited but did not have a lot. We will be back in the warmer weather to sit outside was beautiful. A unique experience. No seating inside. But a huge operation. Staff was like a fine tuned machine. Can't wait to go back ”
“ Kopp's is such a classic! I had never been to the Greenfield location before, but the building is so unique and cool. After a little research, I discovered it's designed in a modernist style--now I'm curious to dig more into its history. This location was busy, but what else would you expect from Kopp's? Everyone was there to get their fix, just like me. One thing I love about Kopp's is their flavor forecast menu, which changes daily. While my favorite flavor is tiramisu, it wasn't available this time, so I went with vanilla custard topped with bananas and cherry sauce. It was delicious! Feel free to steal my order--you won't regret it. (Pro tip: sometimes I switch the cherry sauce for strawberry sauce, and it's equally amazing!) The only tricky part was ordering. There are two separate counter areas with ordering stations, but the lines weren't super clear. Thankfully, everything turned out fine, and we all got our orders correct. I'll definitely be back for another treat soon! ”
“ We felt like a local, going to this burger and custard shop. We didn't know the system so everyone knew we were tourists though. No worries, we caught on quick. It was strangely busy for such a late night on a weekday. But we quickly came to understand that this wasn't just about good burgers and ice cream, this was a local hang out spot replete with folks lounging inside and out (though it was cold) and friends meeting up either coming from somewhere or going somewhere else... We kinda liked that. And in any case the burger we had was quite good. Messy. Super messy for sure. But also super good. And because the name of the place says custard we went back for that too (we had to go back because apparently you have to get in a separate line for that, etc... it's a whole thing). In any case, caramel apple custard is wonderful, thanks for asking... The whole experience felt very mid-west which is a good thing. Check them out if you're in the area. Get extra napkins... ”
“ Okurrrr the Internet did not lie about this one. When I say this was the best frozen custard I ever had, I meant it was the BEST FREAKING FROZEN CUSTARD I EVER HAD (all caps for emphasis and to get my point across.). If you're visiting WI, you cannot skip this place. My only regret is that I didn't go back for me. I dropped in to try their famous Giant Hamburger and Frozen Custard. I grabbed a cheeseburger with fries and the special of the day, the Birthday Cake custard, total was about $15.00. The signs don't lie - the burger was huge! The bun looked like a pancake, and the burger covered the entire circumference. It also tasted wonderful, like a classic drive-thru greasy burg that brings you back in time. The custard was excellent, the perfect blend of creamy, smooth and rich bliss that melted in your mouth. It had chunks of vanilla cake on top that were sweet and moist. It's my favorite custard I've ever had to date and I'll be dreaming of the way I can have it again. Not too long after my visit to Kopp's, I stopped by a couple places offering custard in my hometown. They just didn't hit the same. Kopp's is doing something so right. I can't recommend it enough. ”
“ I finally came back to this location! This location is notoriously busy on summer nights. The parking situation is a nightmare!! However despite these annoying occurrences, the ice cream/frozen custard is superb. We simply can't deny that it's so creamy and delicious every time. If I'm being honest, taking it home isn't the same. I'm always far more disappointed in the custard when I get it for the purpose of taking it home. It feels like it loses that soft creaminess that I enjoy. I think because this is so close to soft serve without really being soft serve, that having it in your freezer just isn't the same. I got the butter pecan in a cone and it was amazing! They have a nice outdoor area to sit in, but it's always extremely crowded. So we went across the parking lot and there was more space for kids to run around and a bench to sit on. ”
